I do not seek to depict reality; I undo it.

Things are never quite what they seem, and that is precisely the point.

Working primarily with digital photography, I create semi-abstract, minimalist images that oscillate between stillness and disorientation, inviting in a perceptual pause where the familiar becomes estranged, and the medium itself is questioned, blurring the lines between photography and painting.

Each image is a response to a specific moment of creation—unstaged and raw—through cycles of sensing, capturing and re-examining. It’s not about following a method, but creating the conditions for surprise, where something unexpected arises.

Often using in-camera techniques like long exposures, filters and movement, I treat light as a catalyst for transformation. My choice of colours is rooted in chromotherapy and acts as emotional frequency, translating emotion into something tangible that is felt before the image is fully seen.

The result is a space for reflection and discovery, where what’s not immediately visible becomes the truer subject.

The image, then, is not an endpoint. It listens before it speaks and continues to unfold over time—like a whispered echo from a dream you can’t quite grasp.

I am currently expanding into public and spatial installations, where perceptual shifts are translated into architectural environments. These immersive contexts allow the viewer’s body to become part of the work—activating the same subtle transformations in space as I explore in the image.

These concerns continue a lineage of artists exploring the immaterial, from the perceptual shifts of the Light and Space movement to the quiet depth of chromatic minimalism and poetic abstraction.
